Learn Khmer: 12-Week Intermediate Course

Presented by the Cambodian Cultural Centre

This 12-week intermediate course is designed for children who already have a basic understanding of Khmer and are ready to grow their confidence and skills. Through fun, interactive, and age-appropriate activities, students will deepen their ability to speak, understand, and engage with the Khmer language in everyday situations. We strongly recommend that you complete our Level 1 Khmer course first before registering for Level 2.

Throughout the course, children will expand their vocabulary and begin forming longer sentences while participating in guided conversations. They will build on their knowledge of the Khmer alphabet, improve pronunciation, and strengthen their reading and writing skills. Lessons will introduce more detailed topics such as daily routines, describing people and places, and expressing thoughts and preferences.

Learning remains hands-on and engaging through games, storytelling, role-play, group activities, and creative exercises—helping students feel confident using Khmer in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Course Details:

• Duration: 12 weeks

• Time: To be determined - 11 am or 1 pm

  Please note that workshop times for Language Level 1 and Level 2 may be subject to change depending on attendance. We will notify all participants as soon as possible of any schedule adjustments.
