Learn Khmer: 12-Week Introductory Course
Presented by the Cambodian Cultural Centre
Discover the beauty and richness of the Khmer language in our 12-week Learn Khmer program, designed for beginners and language enthusiasts alike. Whether you're looking to connect with your heritage, prepare for travel, or simply explore a new language, this course offers the perfect starting point.
Led by Sophan Seng, founder of KEEN Languages Interpreter, this engaging course draws on over a decade of professional experience in language interpretation. Sophan is a fluent Khmer speaker with a Master's degree in Social Science and an extensive background interpreting for courts, government agencies, healthcare providers, and NGOs across Canada.

This in-person course will cover basic vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, and everyday conversation skills, providing you with a strong foundation in reading, writing, and speaking Khmer.

Children's Khmer Classes
Ages: 5-12
Curriculum

Learn basic conversational Khmer (everyday greetings, simple sentences)

Fun, game-based lessons to keep children engaged

Activities includes storytelling, and role-play

Learn colors, body parts, and Khmer consonants

Focus on listening, speaking, and pronunciation

Culturally enriched — children learn through art, dance, and traditional stories
